Bringing in a sick sheep, Keld: BU05635a
| The picture shows a hay sled being used to transport a sheep over boggy ground often found on fells. A hay sled was more usually used to transport hay from fields to the barn.
There a man would fork the hay up into the forking hole of a barn and would be trodden down. The hay would be used to feed the cows in the barn through the winter months.
