Cloggers Knives: DCM0018

Clogs: DCM0017 | | Clogs are a hardwearing form of shoe consisting of leather uppers and wooden soles. They were widely worn as a work shoe but their popularity waned in the latter half of the twentieth century.
Various woods were favoured by cloggers with alder and sycamore being among the most popular. Blocks would be cut from a felled tree, which were then shaped to fit the wearer’s feet using the special cloggers knives - the stock knife, hollower, and grip.
