Until relatively recently, all power on the farm was provided by people and horses. Horses would be used to pull ploughs and other farm equipment. In the twentieth century the tractor was invented and many farmers quickly adopted this new technology. In some remote areas however, tractors did not come into widespread use until the 1950s. |
